I have chosen "line" as the element for this months challenge. Line creates shape, texture & value. I used Faber Castell Pitt artist pens for this drawing. (raylee).

Another Angel
A few months ago i transferred this angel print onto an old watercolour, then coloured it with pencils. it has been hanging around waiting for some kind of inspiration.......well i found it eventually from my many visits to art sites & magazines.....so the inspiration came from lots of different places. i have been using some of my collected bits & pieces.......they are many & varied, the range includes wire, sticks, feathers, shells , bits of discarded junk metal, fabric & old buttons, just to name a few. ......when i came across these old kitchen cupboard door knobs i had to find a new use for them, so they had a lot to do with my inspiration for this art work. Sometimes i would ask myself why i collect things.......now sometimes i find the answer. (raylee).

paper and glue
I finally have photos of some paper and glue...
decided to continue and make birthday cards for a couple of lovely ladies in my life who celebrate their birthdays this month...
found some of Miss5's creations to use as the base....
and to provide a bit of white to write a message...
so here they are...

New Box from Old Art
The box i made from an old watercolour/collage painting now has a lid. an old bauble came in handy to decorate the top. The part of the painting used for the lid was a bit boring so i added some collage. the "wild at heart" lettering from a magazine, the white & mauve floral is gesso print on acrylic on paper & the pink frangipani is a photo copy of another watercolour painting.

another shruggy
have been playing with some new wool...
trying to make a pretty shrug...
another layer to keep the cold out...
you can see the pattern that I picked up from Spotlight...maybe last year....
the end result is not as long or loose as I would like....
but its not for me and I have already redone it with a bigger hook...
so it is as it is.....

New Dress for Nellie
Do you remember Nellie? she is one of my first dolls to appear on the blog. her owner brought her back to me as she needed a new outfit. so here she is in a dress made from hand block printed cotton sheeting that was leftover from a bag. the petticoat is black organza from an op shop dress. the belt is black shoe lace cord . Both girls went home happy. a new outfit works wonders.....the smile is worth more than any amount of dollars to me. (raylee).

Ichi .....A New Doll
This face has been hanging around for a few months now, patiently waiting for the rest of her body. the face started out painted onto a piece of white cotton sheet, then it was tea dyed with a rectangular shaped doily .
I cut the flower from the centre of the doily, threaded a length of denim through the holes of the doily. the denim was cut from the hem of a new pair of jeans, then stitched the flower onto the front of the doll.
I stitched some hex nuts onto the other piece of denim & tied it around the neck to make a choker, a few gathers & stitches make the rest of the doily into a hat.
