i made a granny square crochet rug last year & all the grand kids thought it was great.....some of them had never seen a granny square......ever.
so i decided i would make one for each of them......it will probably take me at least a hundred years.......i was inspired by this article in " Better Homes & Gardens " June 2010 magazine.......
i liked these little flowers......& have already made some & stitched them onto "shoe"bags ( you will have already seen them if you are a regular looker ).
i thought this looked good......should i be so ambitious?......why not?
so made all of these.....179 squares of various sizes......now the fun part..... joining them all together.
these cushion covers are pretty......but a bit too busy for me.....but i do like the zig zag blanket. my mum made one in the 70's. it was green, orange & a yukky brown colour, it did add a bit of style to the brown vinyl lounge though.
i think i might attempt a zig zag pattern rug for the next one........ if i ever get the first one completed!

The zigzag blanket... my grandma made one for me in the early 80s! :) It has all the colors of the sea.
