Old Stool.......New Look

Hello , this is what i did last weekend......old stool bought from the "tip shop".......(most members of my family are keen op shoppers, garage sale hunters, market goers). they often pass things on to me, to reuse, reinvent, repaint.....whatever.....all the materials i have used for this project were given to me except for the glue & the orange paint. sorry i forgot to take a photo of its original state.....just brown varnished timber.
the top was split in two.......so a bit of wood glue put it back together.
an undercoat of paint, then a coat of neutral around the bottom of the legs & the top of the stool .......a small amount of paint was left over from a previous job, just enough for this small paint job.......

....... i added some pink crochet to a doily from Simonne's bag of treasures, to make a fitted skirt to go on the top of the stool.....

i took some of the colours from the bed clothes to use for this makeover, just in case you were wondering.......

i have a bedhead to paint yet (not orange) so i will decide if i am happy with the colours then.......if not ......just repaint!
