Red Shoes

This painting is one of my favourites, it is the original one i painted, i have done a few similar ones over the years & i have liked them all. anyway.... it has inspired me to try creating it in a different medium ...... fabric & thread. i started it today by drawing the shoes & cutting a paper pattern, after cutting the shoes from red corduroy i machine appliqued them to a piece of denim from old jeans, then i decided i would block print some calico in a colour to co-ordinate & complement the applique. i dont have photos yet, will post the progress soon.
