Dangly bits
hello again...
hope you all have had a happy Easter time...
we have all been busy working...
though not as much crafty as we like...
in recent times the little girls have been busy...
threading and bending pipecleaners...
as we have a new baby around...
we thought we'd put all our dangly bits together...
and make a mobile...
I found some sticks in the garden...
and threaded things onto them and tied them up with ribbon...
the fish hiding in the background is not impressed...
he's not included this time...
I have other ideas for him later...

Crocheted Jewellery Necklace Purse
some of the pieces are made from found items & bits & pieces of scraps & leftovers.
i crocheted this cute little necklace purse from pale pink crochet cotton, added a silver button to fasten it, a small silver charm, & little sparkly star beads. i did make some more but they were quickly snapped up by some little girls before i could get the camera out!
they didn't take long to make, so some more will be on the way soon. (raylee).

Bag Made From Brown Cargo Pants
stitched some loops from braid on to the top of the bag to hold the circle & square plastic thingys ( from swimwear), to put the straps through to make handles......
then stitched the hand printed "ess-arr" label on to a pocket flap...... then stitched the lining to the outer part of the bag........cut the top from a pocket & pocket flap that was on the leg of the pants & stitched it onto the top of the bag .......this became the snap closure .......
the gusset of the bag is made from a sample piece of floral cotton furnishing fabric......then piped around the edges with a stripey cord......added a bit of bling with a broken brooch.........ready to go.......all of the materials used were either given to me or bought from op shops.

Altered Book Journal
Today i have been putting together a journal . i used an old book, firstly i painted some of the pages with gesso & some with acrylics. stuck some pictures on some pages. made pockets from used business envelopes, also painted the smaller ones from Christmas cards.
Lots of small pieces of leftover fabric randomly stitched to make a kind of crazy patchwork became the book cover.
Envelope pocket to hold a book mark.....some envelopes have interesting colours & patterns on the inside.

Napkin Rings
A simple quick & easy project that doesnt cost much . if you use table napkins you might like to try these. i cut mine from a toothpaste box.....so they arent really rings at all......you could use a cardboard cylinder if its rings you want.
Then spray some glue adhesive to the cardboard, stick on a piece of braid, that has been previously measured & cut to fit around the cardboard.......let it dry.....
......clip on an old ear ring. i found the napkins, braid & ear rings at op shops. this works well if there are only two table settings , if you wanted a larger number , & all the rings to match buttons could be the answer. i like mix & match , different ones would suit me..... what am i saying? when do i ever get so fancy?
