Bread Board Painting

trying  something  different .......i had an old bread board which i painted roughly with gesso.......

sanded some off  when it was dry.......did a fairly quick sketch on it with water soluble crayons, rubbed with my fingers in some places to smudge it, added some water in other bits & then sanded it roughly to give an aged look. if you click onto the photo you will see the detail of this process.
