i found a really informative tutorial for a "patchy bo ho bag" here,
but decided to make the straps & gusset in one piece from some floral furnishing fabric (not enough silk & taffeta for the straps) the white lining is the reverse side of this fabric, a couple of pockets on the inside from scrap material, & some pearly buttons for the flower centres. machine stitched stems & grass in orange to add a bit of warmth to the purple silk daisies & the patchy blue flowers.
(raylee).
well aren't you clever!!...very nice...the flowers look great with a bit of bling in the centre...love the pockets too...
ReplyDeleteIt is a striking fact that in the development of embroidery ... there are no changes of materials or techniques which can be felt or interpreted as advances from a primitive to a later, more refined stage.

DeleteWow, you used the buttons in the inside of the flowers so artistically. They look so natural. If I didn't read it it was hard to figure out. They are so blended together. Great Embroidered Patchwork. keep it up!
