Hand Me Down Dolls are made from calico, previously used , when i can find it ,otherwise i use new. i tea stain the fabric & wash it before cutting out. i also draft my own patterns. the dolls are hand & machine stitched.sometimes i use hand printed or painted fabric, but always try to use recycled, which comes from op shops, friends & family.edens dress is made from an old cotton pillowcase ,very soft & worn, some of the buttons are from an old tin my grandmother gave me a long long time ago. her hair is strips of torn fabric. my hope is that the owners of these dolls will pass them on when they have outgrown them. each doll is a , one of a kind maybe similar , but each one is different.

Little dolls for little girls..made from scraps of a little quilt..which was also made from scraps...old blouses found at a charity shop or saved from a trip to the charity shop...
I have found some of Mum's old patterns of little toys, originally designed for felt...but I will try them using denim and cord pieces that I have...
Also got an old pattern book for ragdolls....dating at least the 60's..and they also talk about recycling old clothes....everything old is new again!!!!
